Re: [Avid-L2] hard drives for p2 files on a flight with usair

I have just been using whatever USB drive is on sale at Best Buy. I am currently looking at a couple Western Digital USB drives that have been on 4 or 5 travel shoots with me. I make sure I have a copy of all the footage on both drives and then head for the airport. I leave them in my laptop bag and let them run it through the X-ray at security. I have never had them ask me a thing about them and I have never had any problems with the footage once I get back.

Now if you want to have real fun throw an audio mixer with 3 or 4 wireless packages in it over your shoulder and head for the airport. 9 times out of 10 it will get you to secondary screening.

I could use recommendations on external drives to use and what precautions to take when working with the TSA officials at the airports.
