[Avid-L2] Widgets - Lion - Overlay

 

Under Lion, Widgets now appear over a generic grey desktop BG - instead of as an overlay over the regular desktop - as they had under Snow Leopard. Any way to change that behavior under Lion, so that Widgets appear over the other dimmed, desktop windows? Thanks.

Also as an aside, it seems that Apple has lost interest in Widgets now that there's an App Store. Quite a few of the Widgets that had previously been available are now gone.
