[Avid-L2] Odd Workspace Behavior MCsoft 6 on MBP dual monitor with arrangement pref.

While trying to adjust my workspaces to a new monitor I've added 1920x1080 monitor driven by my MBP OS 10.6.8 mini display port I found after saving current when I toggled to a different workspace and came back everything was shifted way down about 1/3 of the screen.  The windows seemed to retain their size but being shifted down pushed the timeline down well below the bottom exposing just the top of the timeline window.  Hitting Home from the menu would also send the windows to these lowered positions.  By the way the CMD + ' doesn't seem to be invoking the home command on this version, anybody else see this behavior on a mac?  Because my new monitor is sitting a little higher than the laptop monitor I had adjusted the alignment in the display preferences menu.  Turns out restoring the monitor alignment back to normal side by side matching the buttom of the screens and then the Avid behaves normally.  I guess I've never really had to adjust the
monitor alignment on a normal desktop Avid mac system.  Is this known behavior or something new.  Never knew this before tonight, and more has been revealed once again.
