The only thing I'd do differently is not bother to transcode to DNx -XDCam50 (in an MXF wrapper ) is an Avid native codec now - so consolidate, not transcode. Much faster. In fact, if you don't wan't triple-media, and have a little assistant time, you can just mount the disc directly AMA'd inside avid, and consolidate to XDCam50 - thus saving a couple steps and still getting the peace of mind that comes with having the footage as in the Avid MediaFiles MXF folder.
