Re: [Avid-L2] Re: MC6 functionality

I can confirm that Reverse Selection is broken (MC6, Mac OS 10.6.8).

Additionally, having worked out the various combinations of Workspaces linked to Bin Layouts, it seems that we have taken a step backwards. With 5.x etc, If the Superbin was in text view in one saved Toolset, and in Script view in another, the bin display would switch with the Toolsets. Here (may be my system), the bin display sticks with the last one saved and doesn't switch when the layouts are switched, either manually or when linked to a Workspace. More reduced functionality. After my earlier comments on tabbed bins I am happy to be proved wrong.

Maybe Bin Layout is not supposed to do this. I can see that it opens and closes bins depending on the status when the setting was saved but I'd like it to display them in the form they were when the bin preset was saved.

And I just found a dumb (is it me?) shortcoming to the Bin Layout paradigm - I have a sequence open in a bin called Edits. I switch Bin Layout or workspace to another where that bin wasn't open when the bin preset was saved - my sequence and its containing bin is closed and of course my undo list clears. Ho Ho - what fun. I think I'll avoid Bin Layouts for the time being.

BTW I withdraw my comment about multiple bin tabs being difficult to read as there is a little drop-down menu to allow switching.
