Hi there,
As Terry mentioned, the idea of multiple (and format independent) exports
is an approach that depending on the software design is an easy task for
some software vendors or in some cases can be a complete rewrite of the
entire software architecture.
As expected this is all based on the approach from the ground up in the
design. I am not qualified to speak on Avid's approach but in eyeon's
approach which is hybrid of nodes, timeline and spline, we have the ability
to do the following specifically on image exports.
see attached image for my example.
In a *single pass* we can have *unlimited number exports* with:
- multiple and unlimited frame rates
- multiple image formats
- resolution independent image sizing and DPI (format dependent)
- the ability to branch off at any point during a composite to create an
"clean non effected" output
- each export can have it's own color gamut and LUT applied independently
- independent metadata can be burned in on a single or multiple output
- automation features a email notification for client review and approval
Cheers
Jeff
