has all available codecs on system - I believe that I have over 50
available

I offer:

I know that, Paul. David said in a later message that his system
doesn't have Proxy as a choice at all. That tells me that the codec
is not installed. While I suppose he could copy the codec from
another system and place it in the QT folder, he may not have that
option available to him. Remember, he also said that his system does
not have FCP7. His system has Avid MC5.5, so it's unlikely that the
ProRes422 Proxy codec will be found on his system at all.
If it's not already there as a pre-built setting, that tells me that
either the setting got deleted or it never was included in his version
of Compressor. I believe it was the latter because he doesn't have
the codec available.
