After eliminating a bunch of other brands over many years, I've
settled on Hitachi drives. Not that there's anything special about
them; it's just that I've not yet had any disasters with them.
Whether this will change after WD completes its acquisition of Hitachi
GST is anybody's guess.
BTW, I see that some Hitachi drives I bought about 6 months ago have
almost doubled in price now.
