One thing you are not taking into account is that you are mixing Long GOP
footage (HDV) with regular I frame footage. You are asking the software to
do several conversions at once. In addition to doing your transcode to
your new codec, Avid (or QuickTime ?) must figure out the cadence and
create the frames that don't really exist in the source footage.
Curious if it works any better if you just transcode the HDV footage first.
Leave the others in their original format.

failed, as you say. I transcoded to 1080i DNXHD120 and the exports were
fine.

in MCv6 using AMA I need to get it out to a QT. Preferably PhotoJPEG high
quality. But when I try to export it fails. Some of the AMA source is Apple
Intermediate. Some h.264. Some HDV. Some PhotoJPEG. Some is SD, some is HD,
etc etc. The audio is a mix of audio from the AMA clips and some imported
MXF audio.

dumping various sources from the sequence and it almost always ends up
failing. The only thing that seems to help is breaking it down in to 1 min
pieces. And then it sometimes will export.

with exporting from sequences with AMA sources in them that I missed? Or am
I just doing something wrong?
