How far away are you talking and are you contemplating your hands on a
mouse and keyboard a long way from the actual computer with the picture
content on it?
If you want to edit a long way from the editing computer than you could
try the PC over IP products that Teradici power.

In essence you plug the gfx card's out into the Teradici card and it has
an Ethernet cable over which it transmits usb, audio and the gfx card
output (cleverly compressed) and you connect to it from your little
standalone zero client which is plugged into the monitors on your desk -
possibly a loooong way away.
It's the mutts nuts, and what's more it's the future here today ;-)

We have started streaming with a streaming provider which also works
well.
The advantage is I think that many people many watch instead of just one
with slingbox. Slingbox is however free streaming. Latency is the big
issue
with any of these systems, it's always a few seconds at best.
We have also used slingbox and its cheap and easy.
