Nice article, though I have to laugh at Biscardi's claim that - like some secret cabel of special editors - he was "one of the first group of editors to be introduced" to Avid in 1993.

I'd say that 1993 puts him solidly in the MIDDLE of the curve, since it launched in 1988, FIVE years earlier than Biscardi discovered it. I believe Avid was at version 6 in 1993... the FIRST version 6... not the one we're back to AGAIN now.

I founded the Chicago Avid users group in 1992 and there were at least a 100 people at that first meeting in Chicago alone.

I'm sure Alan Miller would choke on his coffee to hear about the "beginnings" of Avid in 1993. I wonder how many 100s of projects he'd cut on Avid by then.
