I remember that post, was it for mc6 or ethernet client? I've been told repeatably Lion is required even when I asked if mc6 might work on 10.6.8. Sounds like even though it's not supported it might work according to your post. Let us know what you find. It will still require new 64 bit plugins but staying on10.6.8 might avoid some potential issues I've read about with older Adobe products like CS4 suite.
