[Avid-L2] Re: Audio recording software for Avid

This is very interesting, as a bunch of W7 users (me included) have purchased the Shure X2u: XLR to USB Adapter -- and no one has been able to make Avid "see" it in the Capture Tool.

Mac users have repeatedly reported success -- but not W7.

And on my HP-Z800 with W7-64, my MC6 Capture Tool does not report any input other than what is available on my Mojo DX or "Host-1394".

Can you please describe how Windows Mixer appears in your Capture Tool -- and are you running Software-Only with no additional I/O hardware?

Thanks

But with a quiet room it would be fine for proper VO with a bit of eq and compression applied in Avid.
