I export a QT ref with avid media SD 1:1 mxf set to 601/709. I notice when I reimport a sub section of the ref with color bars the pluge is gone. With Avid working 16 to 235 leaving room for super white and black excursions I'm curious if it's QT doing the clipping. Given I can send QT RGB 0 to 255 signal what aspect of QT chops at 16 to 235 with avid mxf 1:1 media SD. There must be metadata in the QT ref that tells it the media is 601/709 but why no overshoots allowed? Not a broke but just curious. I thought the whole point of 16 to 235 was to allow for some extra on top and bottom. This is on SNDX mac 4.0.5
