Sorry if this problem has already been addressed, but I couldn't find much info on it.
AVID MC 5.5.3, running on OS 10.6.3
Matrox Mini Firmware: 12.1, Software: 2.2.3
The Issue:
In Avid - if I am playing a sequence/ media and I have the Matrox on - so I can view it on an output monitor - the sound is coming from the external monitor, and not from my speakers. Now, if i turn the Matrox off, I get sound from my speakers. (I know in the past, on an older version of Avid, I was able to get sound from my speakers, while viewing media on the output monitor)
How do I get sound from my speakers, while viewing on an output monitor?
I've tried changing the Audio Project Settings in Media Composer - I've tried to change the Sync mode - as I think this is where the problem is, but every time I click on it, to change it - it goes back to "Automatic". I think the HDMI is overriding the audio output options.
Any suggestions?
