If you export to Xdcam (export to device) it will be transcoded.
If it looks good, it is good. And you can always AMA your export in for QC.

Subject: [Avid-L2] To transcode or not to transcode?
I have a show that is a 1080i/59.94 project. It contains a large amount(90%)
of XDCAM HD 50 footage
shot at 1080p/29.97. It also includes some DNXHD 145 and a small amount of
SD.
The final delivery is 1080i/59.94 on XDCAM HD 50.
So do I transcode to XDCAM 1080i before output? Or to DNXHD 145? Or
consolidate before
output or do nothing at all.
All of these methods have been tried and I can't see any differnce in the
final output.
I was always under the impression I had to transcode before output. If I
don't does it
automatically transcode when I export to XDCAM? It seems like this is what
is
happening if I do nothing.
