Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Hard Drive Shortages to Drive Up Cost of Video Editing

well, i'm cranky as i've got fined 4000 euros for having an alien friend
help me for 10 minutes, on a job i did as a favour for my neighbours.
And reading up on legal stuff, there will be a cold day in hell before i win
this case.
That however only explains part of me gettting pissed over the file based
bashing. Yes, my tone was more harsh than my normal pleasant arrogance, but
when i'll have time i'll respond to this in a more normal uncivilized way.

Bouke,

Who got you all cranky today? So I am not allowed to complain about the
issues with file based workflows now? I'm not telling you that you have to
use tape. I really don't care what you use. But the reality is that the file
based workflows are the wild west right now, and that is causing a lot of
folks pain. And I see more than my share of that pain.

Obviously you think file based is great. I think is is less efficient
than the tape based workflows we have in place for many users and yes,
especially in my universe. Let's just leave it at.
