[Avid-L2] Re: XDCAM EX 35mbts

Alan,

I have experienced this with XDCAM EX 35 AMA clips that span two files. At the head of the clip is a red locator (_RecStart) and about 12:40 into the clip there will be a 2nd locator (_ClipTransit-02). If you drop the clip into the timeline and do an add edit at the 2nd locator, the clip will play fine in the timeline on either side of the edit. Never figured out a way to get the clip to play in the Source monitor however, except by creating subclips.

On my system (Mac 5.5.3 but no DX hardware), I can't switch the project to 1080p/29.97, so I was not able to test that part of it. All the 29.97 clips play with a green dot in a 1080i project.

Hope this helps.
