Actually, the BVM has a higher non defect quota than the PVMs. In other words, the panels have be more error free to get into the BVM lineup. Other than that, yes they are the same panel.
The question is the circuitry and how it handles the image going to the panel. the BVM has compensation built in for the decay of the OLED panel. Not sure if the PVM has that built in or you have to do it manually.
