[Avid-L2] Mid/ Side audio

 

Hi,

The music documentary I'm working on had audio recorded independently of the camera. There were up to seven tracks recorded at one time. I've autosync'd these tracks to the camera's V1, A1 and A2 tracks.

I've never had to deal with m/s audio before, and I wanted to know if I needed to process the side/stereo track before we start editing with it, or if this is something that we can do farther down the line (ie later in the offline or during the mix session)? The sound recordist is in China, so there is a bit of a language barrier.

If I'm posting in the wrong section, let me know. But if anyone's had experience with this, that would be great.
