Hello L-2,
Dell M6300 Laptop running XP Pro 32 Bit with 4 gigs of RAM. Fully Avid qualified.
I'm trying to install the MC 5.5.3 patch. I followed the instructions on the patch installer PDF. (Deactivated software, uninstalled 5.5.2 patch)
When I run the 5.5.3 installer, it goes through all the steps, but after it finishes copying files, I get the following error message:
"Error 1328. Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PTF4.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor."
I then have the option to abort, ignore or retry. Ignore and retry do nothing but take me back to the same error message. Abort rolls me back to 5.5.1.
I thought it might be a corrupt file, so I downloaded the patch again, but got the same message.
Any suggestions?
