That's correct. This is one of the reasons we like to make sure all of the Avid components work when we push an update to support a new OS release. We had such a call out for support for Lion we went ahead and released support for only the Pro Video Editors. Other support is coming soon.

MC 5.5.3 supports 10.7.x Lion but that doesn¹t mean Unity 5.3.3 will work on

On page 46 of the Read Me for MC_5.5.3 it shows that Unity_5.3.3 client is
supported. But when I try to instal it I get the following message
Avid Unity MediaNetwork Ethernet/Fiber can't be installed on this computer.
Make sure your system meets the requirements.
So what's the trick to installing the Unity MediaNet client software in OSX
10.7?
