Re: [Avid-L2] Connecting two MacPros via dual gigabit ethernet and multipathing?

I think the terminology you want to use is "Aggregate" instead of
"multipathed"

Each MacPro has 2 ethernet port both 1GigE and you want to use them together
to get 2GigE pipe and you want to "not" use a Switch or Network Hub to do
this ( Peer to Peer Networking ).

The answer is yes.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Connecting two MacPros via dual gigabit ethernet and
multipathing?

Sorry for the slightly OT post, but it seems like it might be of interest...

Is there anyway to network two MacPro towers together using both ethernet
ports multipathed together with no switches etc? I have a very simple setup
for this project with two mac pro towers each with its own set of media on
eSATA drives... I'd like to connect both machines via both gigabit ethernet
ports if possible.

Has anyone done this, or know if it's possible?

Thanks in advance!
