[Avid-L2] Whoosh! Transcoding DNxHD to ProRes HQ

 

I was baffled and amazed when I started a transcode in Apple Compressor
to take some 185X footage, and transcode to Prores HQ. A thirty second
clip took ten seconds to process.

I take it the two codecs are very similar? Is it just a wrapper thing?

I was expecting the transcode to take an hour, rather than a few seconds!
