[Avid-L2] Another gadget for those who have too much time on their hands, razor long QT's based on an EDL and add TC

 

Another gadget:
This thing will take a long QT and will split it into smaller clips based on
an EDL
TC of the short clips will have the source TC / REEL as found in the EDL

I've made it for someone who plays out FX shots from Smoke to FCP.
This gadget will find the first non-black frame in the captured clip and
assumes that is the first non-black event in the EDL.
Last but not least, it's even smart enough to imitate the horribly wrong bug
in FCP's 60 fps DF tc...
(that was fun to do :-( )

Reason for making it public, another guy asked me how to relink a long
Teranex upconverted captured sequence back to the original FCP timeline.
This gadget should make that possible. (in theory, but i'm fairly sure the
concept works, even dare to bet my last beer on it...)
