Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Avid live to edit

Funny, I posted a similar remark yesterday- and it never showed up on the 'L.' I'm sure it's my mail server, and not a conspiracy, but I had the same thought: It seems like the AMA model- where the manufacturers write their own 'plugins' for Media Composer - would be the model for hardware support, too. So why wouldn't AJA write drivers for all their hardware? (Other than what was proposed/implied at the Burbank presentation, though, I don't have any facts either way.) Maybe it's more complicated than that, though...

From Oliver's comment, I'm wondering if there's some Apple legal 'hold' on IOHD specifically? Certainly the footage it creates already works with Avid via AMA now - and that seems like the hard part.
