Depending on how they shot XDCAM, you may have a mixture of thin raster(1440x1080) and full raster(1920x1080).
That might possibly influence the green dot presence(or absence)

I've seen this (for example) when using AMA to link to QuickTimes where the frame rate of some of the files is not quite right.
