It works like this, at least for individual customers:
you fill in the form (http://www.avid.com/us/promo), to prove you have a
legal copy of FCP. You receive a discount code back from Avid. You order
the full boxed version of MC in the UK store, then at checkout, enter
the discount code, and you get the discounted cross-grade price.
