It only worked perfectly well before if you already knew how to do it. For someone new to Avid, it's much easier to see a button labeled "edit title" than to figure out by trial and error that you click on the title icon to make changes. We've all been saying that Avid needs to appeal to the next generation of editors, and this is a good change.
My personal learning curve was 1) click on title icon 2) hey, nothings happening! 3) oh, what's that new button right there?
Took all of about 5 seconds.
Not to worry, though... I have plenty of other changes (ahem ** audio track monitoring **) to grumble about.

It took me a little longer than I would have liked to figure that out. A word for the big future release: please don't pull too many of those rabbits out of the hat. We aren't kidding when we say we like our muscle memories just the way they are. This is an example of one of those changes that frustrate you. Worked perfectly well before. Adding another damn button icon to the mix (even when you label it Edit) doesn't make our lives any easier. - P
