I agree, simply does what it's meant to, no problems linking with AMA or doing it the old fashioned way with batch import. Great drive,

Everybody at "48 Hours" has a PDW-U1 in their edit room. They work great.

Much easier and faster than a vtr. Works great with AMA.

Plus you can output back to XDCam disc for mastering if you

need to.

Greg, We have a bunch on them and they have all been rock solid. They

are just a drive. AMA or other software does the processing. I have

used the Sony U1 Utility to repair a corrupt Pro Disk in the PDW-U1

drive. That was huge and I don't think it could have been done in the

XDCam deck. --J.B.
