RE: [Avid-L2] Re: The FCPX thread

For years, I have grumbled nonsensical tripe to myself, as I walked around the office wearing a sandwich board and a propellor hat, about how Apple would get bored with professional video and just axe it one day without warning. How can a few dozen nerds compete for development dollars with millions of housewives buying iPads? I wouldn't make the switch because I didn't want my career to be easily EOL-able by a company with almost no investment, financially or emotionally, in my field.

My colleagues looked upon me with contempt and pity and gave me the numbers to all the finest psychotherapists in New York. Apple continued to take over the market and I continued to look like a raving idiot who had made some terrible career choices culminating in a job in front of one of those old-fashioned Avid thingamabobs with the stuff and stuff. It was a sad, lonely, pathetic existence.

So I'd just like to thank everyone at Apple for completely vindicating me on all counts.

Cheers!

Warmly on a warm night,Seth
