In 1984, my Mac 512K (That stands for the amount of RAM in the computer!) only had a floppy drive and in order to run different applications, there was so little RAM that you actually had to insert the original floppy disks each time you wanted to run a program. I later upgraded - I think it cost $1200, from 512K of RAM to a ONE FULL MEG of RAM.

This thread could obviously go on forever...
