The Perian issue relates to viewing QT files on the desktop and inside Avid
and shifts to gamma levels. Usually in relation to checking Cannon 5D / 7D
files through the import/export routes.
Remove the Perian codec from the QuickTime Library folder, view the same
QT file on the desktop and it's a WTF moment.
