[Avid-L2] Re: Mixed 3perf and 4perf in a project

 

This is really no different a request than using AMA to reference three different codecs via a QuickTime wrapper, then being asked to finder and deliver just the takes that used one of them... ;)

In this scenario, and since 2005, Media Composer tracks the film type for each of the KN Start, and Ink Number, and Aux Ink Number columns. For KN Start, it's called KN Film. For each clip, you will see 35.3 or 35.4 which is based on how it was logged. Same goes for Ink Number with "Ink Film" etc. It also lets the Media Composer know how it should count on a frame per frame basis. 3 perf adds the .1, .2, and .3 to the count whereas 4 perf does not need it.

So display that column, and sort by it and you will clearly be able to separate our based on film type.
