[Avid-L2] Re: is 7.5 - 100 ire irrelavent in the dtv world

 

What signal are you looking at on the scope? If you are looking at NTSC for the US it should be 7.5ire to 100ire. If you are looking at a digital scope and an sdi signal 0 to 100 is correct as in 0mV to 700mV. 0 in 601/709 should be mapped to 7.5ire for US NTSC. For the Japanese NTSC there is no setup and 0 would be mapped to 0ire. HTH
