Subject: [Avid-L2] Workflow Question
I monitor these forums all the time but this is the first time I've posted a question.
I have a job coming up which I just can't figure out the best workflow for.
It is 50% archive (Digibeta, Beta SP, downloads from web, DVD) and 50% interviews (shot on a mixture of XDCAM 35 & XDCAM 50 and Canon 7D).
The final programme is to be delivered SD. At the moment our systems are running Media Composer 3.1.3.
As there is so much archive we are planning on skipping the conform process and bringing any SD material in at 2:1 and not going back to the original material. But I don't know what to do with the HD material. Down-converting using Avid's transcode is not acceptable.
Any ideas? Things to look out for?
Cheers - Gary.
