Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Linking/locking audio & video clips (easy answer to this I know)

If there's matching TC on the video and the audio as you said, then using AutoSync will take about 5 seconds and you can discard your previous work.

If there's no matching TC, then do this:
1- In the sequence park anywhere in the first segment where audio and video are in sync. Don't move the blue line.
2- Enable the video track and do a match frame to the master clip (avid puts a mark-in). Leave that mark in there.
3- Back in the sequence, without moving the blue line, disable the video track and enable the audio track.
4- Match frame back to the audio master clip. Once again Avid puts a mark-in. Leave it.
5- Make sure the master clips for audio and video you just matched back to are in the same bin.
6- Select both of them.
7- Go to the bin menu and use AutoSync. In the dialog box select to use In-points as the sync reference. Hit OK, and you're done. Avid creates a Subclip of the newly synced elements (I don't agree with using the subclip symbol, but that's a different discussion.
8- wash, rinse, repeat.
