I just cut a trailer where all of the cuts worked perfectly and the folks from the distribution company wanted me to add about a dozen dips to black to make it "look more trailery." !!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I added them and they basically said "NOW it looks professional!"

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether the edits worked better as cuts or dips or dissolves, but whether it made it look like every other trailer that's been cut in the last 10 years.
