I disagree that this is corrupt clips. I think that your playlength fix explains the real root of the problem which is that if you extend audio past the end of video (usually by trimming) THAT'S what causes this, so that it's actually the sequence itself, not the clips inside of it that is corrupt.
My best fix for this is usually to take a long clip with both audio and video and edit it over the end of the sequence as an overwrite, then delete the overwritten clip. Simply lifting the affected section doesn't work. How deep you have to cut into the end of the sequence depends on how much you trimmed video asynchronously with video.
This is a lot easier to fix if you do it immediately after encountering the error.
ANother tip is to mark an in and an out on the good portion of the sequence and simply copying that section to a new sequence.

But I've been testing some sequences out, and when I find the supposed currupt clip, it fixes it temporarily, then it starts to happen again after a bit. What's weird is that when I turn on Play Length, it fixes the problem. Unfortunately it's just a temporary solution since editors are reporting this problem persisting when the play length on after some more editing. The issue seems to be with the audio buffering, but do any of you know of any possible solution? From what I'm reading, it seems to be bug that Avid simply has not fixed. Any advice would be helpful. We are cutting on Windows 7, 4-8gb ram, MC 5.0.3.8 Nitris. Thank you.
