[Avid-L2] MC5 - Avoid batch import to re-time QT clips to fit original clip length ?

Hi,

is there a way to avoid the batch import to re-time QT clips to fit original clip length in MC 5 ?

This is an example of what is happening at the moment:
we send the editor a 2 second QT clip of CGI.
5 days later we send the same clip but it lasts 4 seconds. When the clip is batch imported, it is 2x sped-up (a frame is removed every 2 frames) by MC to match the original length.

By default, MC seems to try to "squeeze" things to fit first clip length.
Is there a way to disable this behaviour ?
Unless the editor is constantly made aware of changes in length of
source material, it seems a bit confusing and dangerous.

Cheers,
F.
