Being able to rent plugins would be interesting and useful in many professional situations. They should have a "AVX store", like the Apple App Store.

They already tried review and approval, and I think it's tough to compete with the existing inexpensive options. But it could work if it were done right and priced inexpensively.

Stock footage will be tough... do they think they can compete with Getty, Corbis and iStockphoto? Those companies (and others) already make it pretty easy. Training videos will never go anywhere.
