If you really want to know what's on (and in) those WAV files, you
could download the free Wave Agent app from Sound Devices (avail for
Mac and Windows):

Wave Agent will let you quickly see and manipulate the metadata, TC,
and framerates on BWF and WAV files. But it looks like you'll just get
confirmation that production handed you hot steaming pile of Sound
Handled by Ignorant Twits*
