Hi Steve;
I went to a private producer's screening last year for Avatar in HD, with
James Cameron and actors there afterwards to discuss the making of the film.
After the showing, during the Q&A, I asked how it was edited. He said that it
was three editors, including himself, who rotated segments between themselves.
And yes, it was all done in AVID!

I think I mentioned in a post a few months ago that a Premiere Pro editor was
trying to convince me that Avatar had been cut on Premiere...when in fact it was
Avid.
