While I understand the PR opportunity afforded by the whole Oscar/NLE platform nexus, we all have to admit that it's basically pretty freakin' silly. I mean, Tolstoy wrote "Anna Karenina" with a fountain pen, but having the same one doesn't make me capable of producing a classic act of literature.

Angus and Kirk would've likely won 'Best Editing' had they cut 'Social Network' on Avid, Premiere, Lightworks, iMovie or index cards pinned to cork board.

Sheesh.
