All these pro and con comments are true.
Nevertheless, speaking strictly as an editor, I would much rather work with Canon 5D footage than anything coming from P2 or XDCAM or RED. I, for one, actually relish the ability to control and infuse my own metadata into the process, in the absence of metadata from the camera.
And for the FCP folks, here's a reason I don't use the EOS L&T plug-in:

OTOH, I look forward to working with more Alexa footage. Finally, a camera that takes post into consideration!
