We currently have an original Teranex Mini. We're looking into purchasing the new one that pretty much converts between anything including standards conversions. Can anyone chime in on the quality of PAL to NTSC and NTSC to PAL conversions on the new mini? For fast action and sports stuff, I would still think an Alchemist phD with all their motion compensation is the way to go, but does the mini do a decent, broadcast quality job at standards conversion? Also, what about converting 30i material to 23.98, especially SD 30i to 1080p 23.98sf? Is it good enough and what am I not getting by not using an Alchemist HD or one of the bigger Teranex units. I know the larger Teranex units will detect cadence issues on edited programs and the mini will not.
Thanks,
KEN
