I was under the impression that it was a plug-in architecture that manufacturers could write for, allowing for specific handling of their files. Am I wrong?

> I haven't checked, but I doubt it. AMA is a plug-in architecture. Since there is no specific Canon 5D/7D/1D AMA plug-in, Avid is simply reading a "generic" Quicktime H.264 file. Bins under AMA will display various columns that are camera-dependent. For instance, certain columns appear with RED or P2 files, because there is a specific SDK for those formats and the AMA plug-in adheres to that SDK.
