Re: [Avid-L2] Digest Number 7089

Hi Curtis,

This means that Squeeze and all of its presets will appear in the File > Export menu of the NLE. This saves you from rendering an intermediate file for import into your compression software. Instead, the Squeeze engine acts as a native encoding engine within the NLE which means you can encode to all the output formats supported by Squeeze without ever leaving Avid/FCP/Premiere.

Add to this the other workflow elements that can be encapsulated by a preset (e.g. publishing output files to CDNs, applying filters such as timecode and watermarking, sending email/text alerts when the job finishes, etc) and it's a real time saver, IMHO. :)
