[Avid-L2] Tease 3D Lower 3rd / "Snipe"?

Cross Post to Avid-L2 and ACI-L

<super hero music bed>

Your help is needed ASAP

Anyone have any insight (or contacts who know) how to broadcast (NTSC) a
"Next on..." / "Coming Up" / "bug in the corner" type of animated graphic element
(a.k.a. a "snipe") that is in 3D (which is *not* burned into the broadcast master)?

I'm gathering that the challenge is that the content (the background) is also in 3D.

My instincts are that:
1- if they are wanting the "snipe" to be transparent, then there would be problems as the BG and FG 3D elements would mess with each other.
2- the _solution_ may be to simply have the "snipe" with a solid / opaque background shape and the 3D graphics over that.

Not being familiar with 3D television delivery myself, I'm wondering why this is difficult.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Anyone know a broadcaster that's doing 3D programs and serving up 3D "snipes" that are not burned into the broadcast master?
Bonus points for sharing a contact at a broadcaster or at Avid that knows the secret sauce . . . :)

Thanks geniuses for any help you might be able to lend on this.

Cheers!
