[Avid-L2] Re: Symphony Nitris classic 'sfplayconsumer' error

I agree we've had so many issues moving content between Pre V5 and V5 machines we've had to move our plans forward and move all our machines including our Symphony to V5 Something i never do until at least a .1 release.
V5 still has many stability issues and the move to V5 now sees many more "issues" and restarts than we ever saw before.
But of course that is offset by the extra features V5 brings.

But we still get pre V5 projects coming in and it's luck of the draw what issues you'll have and what you'll need to fix on your clock to get it running ok on your systems.
We often have to remove effects and rebuild them to resolve a problem.
We also notice more occurrences of Avid just crashing for good rather than the old style of error you could recover from.
Hopefully 5.1 (or is that 5.3 or 5.5) will bring back that stability.
